HELLO? Is there anybody out there. Is there life after art?
You can call this an artistic rant if you like but why is no one using this fantastic facility provided by Blind Art? This is an opportunity for us to express ourselves verbally and artistically, yet where are you all?Is it only me and Simon Hayhoe who are using this (hello Simon)?

Codgers Inc. are still waiting for glazes to arrive so watch this space for glazing updates.
Does anybody out there know of somewhere where we can get discounted or wholesale underglazes or pigments? If so tell us, feel free to contact us on this forum. Contact us anyway, it would be nice to hear from you.

I have a number of pieces ready to exhibit. Are there any exhibitors out there looking for pieces?

Colin's thought for the day?
The only glaze I,ve managed lately is an alcoholic one. Chin, chin!

Hi, Colin here, or should I say 'Old Codger' as I've just started a small venture with Garry a friend from scupture classes which we are calling 'Codger's Inc' because we're both old codgers. We are making a range of ceramics for the garden which we hope to sell through garden centres, shops, carboots or even the website (watch this space).
We've had an exciting week because we have started firing our first batch of work in our own kiln.
It's been quite a learning curve because having borrowed two weight lifting friend to manhandle the thing out of a basement we then had to learn repair techniques, not only for hernias but also for broken kiln linings. With the help and advice of Claygaze in Rickmansworth the kiln is now fine but they could'nt help with the ruptures.
Our bisc firings have been fine with work behaving as it ought to and looking the same when it came out as when it went in. More news about our adventures in glazing next time.

Colin's thought for the day?
See website for pictures of hernias (don't panic, only joking).

Hello, My name is Colin Hoppe and I have been involved in Blind Art for about 4 years now although I have been visually impaired since the age of seven. My work mostly consists of ceramic garden ware (sundials, plant holders, birdbaths etc) and fine art, based on my moods, emotions and personal experience and feelings. Please take a look at my website below which is kept updated with my work, all of which is for sale. I have also attached some pictures of new work for you to look at.
I would be more than happy to hear your thoughts and opinions on my work or about your own experiences so please get in touch.
