I’m a lecturer at Cambridge Regional College of Further Education and next year I will be teaching a group of students who are 17-18 year olds on a BTEC Level 3 Art and Design course.
I would very much like to do a short project with them, considering the idea of the senses, and also being deprived of them.
I would love to work with a blind artist, or group of young blind people on collaborative pieces of art work, exploring how art can be used to include and even favour blind people over sighted people.
I would be very interested in getting in touch with a local blind artist/facilitator who could be paid to come into our college and work with me to run a session for my students, or even maybe locate a group of local blind young people if there is such a thing in Cambridge.
