A reminder of our free described tour event of Art from the New World on Wednesday 23 June & Thursday 19 August 5-6.30pm.
An in-conversation with Richard Scarry, the director of the Corey Helford Gallery in LA.
About the exhibition:
Art from the New world showcases 49 emerging and noted US contemporary artists, under the curation of the Corey Helford gallery. The selected artists are part of an exciting new movement that encompass all forms of media and art- painting, sculpture, printing, stencil, photography and digital art.
The exhibition exposes an American art scene that is bold and provocative, with images expressing dark humour, innocence and a fresh look at the 'idea's of glamour and beauty.
The exhibition dominates the ground floor of the museum. For example the artist Mike Stilkey has created an installation in our front porch using 2,500 books saved from being pulped. And there is a 14 foot inflatable ice cream cone greeting you in the front hall by the street artist Buff Monster.
The tour will take you around these works as well as highlighting a selection from the 50 works inside the main gallery.
This event must be booked in advance.
